The School District of Indian River County needed to expedite reconstruction of a campus that had been destroyed by hurricanes Frances and Jeanne. Recognizing that students requiring alternative education services cannot adequately be served by redistribution to other schools, the school district needed to reduce construction time.
Using a concrete modular building system, a 2-story open corridor wing addition with concrete covered walkways, elevator and stair modules was utilizied to expedite construction. In addition, an administrative building and a cafeteria was constructed using a precast wall system.
